The MV Seg and MV Sandal had been running a successful liner service between Riga and Wisbech and as a result Port of Wisbech have purchased a new vessel. The Baltic Express, IMO 9243851 had visited Wisbech numerous times before under previous ownership as the MV Lady Nora. The vessel is larger than the Seg and Sandal with 79.98m length overall and Gross Tonnage of 1978mt. The vessel does not carry deck cargo, therefore all cargo is contained within the hold. As a result, the Baltic Express is less affected by harsh weather and gives a more reliable ETA Wisbech.
