The newest addition to the fleet of cranes and forklift machinery at Port of Wisbech is a Fuchs Rehandler. The new “blue crane” has enabled Port staff to discharge vessels at a much faster rate as well as provide more reliable forecasts for discharge completion. The banana boom gives better manoeuvrability and the extendable cab allows for increased visibility in the hold. It is the intention of Port of Wisbech to one day purchase a second Fuchs and have the two cranes working in tandem.
